Concrete mixing mechanism
The purpose of concrete agitation is to mix the components of the concrete into a mixture of particles dispersed and uniformly distributed with each other. Whether the agitated concrete is uniform in texture can be evaluated by randomly extracting a certain number of samples from the concrete for analysis. If the mixing ratio of each sample is substantially the same, it can be considered that the concrete has been uniformly mixed.

In order to uniformly mix the components in the concrete, it is necessary to disperse the particles of each component into other various components during the stirring process. Therefore, it is necessary to try to make the components move and make them The trajectories intersect, and the more the number of intersections, the easier the concrete is to mix evenly. According to different methods of forcing the components to produce intersecting motion trajectories, there are basically two kinds of stirring mechanisms based on the design of ordinary concrete mixers:
1. Self-falling diffusion mechanism: It is to lift the material to a certain height and use gravity to freely fall. The height, time, speed, drop point and rolling distance of each material particle are different. Therefore, the material particles interpenetrate, penetrate and diffuse, and finally achieve the purpose of uniform dispersion. Since the material dispersion process mainly uses gravity, it is also called gravity diffusion mechanism, and the self-falling concrete mixer is designed according to this mechanism.
2. Forced diffusion mechanism: It uses the moving blades to force the material particles to move from all directions (circumferential, radial and vertical), so that the direction and speed of each material particle movement are different, and shears are generated between each other. The slides are slipped so as to interpenetrate and spread, so that the materials are uniformly mixed. Since the diffusion process of the material mainly utilizes the shear-slip interaction between the material particles, it is also called the shear diffusion mechanism. Forced concrete mixers are designed according to this mechanism.
